Math: We have been beginning our learning of multiplication. Students are learning many strategies for solving. Ask your student to show you how to use an array, repeated addition, equal groups, or to create a table when they solve a given fact. Students also are beginning to look for clue words to help them know if they should be adding, subtracting, or multiplying.
Writing: Students finished publishing their first personal narrative. We are working on drafting our second!
Reading: We have been learning how to be digital readers by discussing the difference between reading on a device and on paper. Students have also been working on finding the main idea with supporting details of a text.
Word Study: Students will assess on Long O spelling patterns this week and begin long U next week!
